The newest sport in town could not be more delicious. Located in the heart of Orchard Road, Burgers VS Wings + Bar challenges its two groups of chefs to come up with diners' favourites dishes. That’s right – you hold the fate of the challenge in your hands, whether you are tempted by the heavyweight wings or the bouncing patties. It’s the year’s best food fight, hosted by Kitchen Language – and there’s one clear winner: you.
Over on the burger bench, the contender pile-up includes the Classic Heavyweight ($19.90), a legend in the making. This Stockyard Angus beef patty is joined by smoked bacon, chilli con carne, egg sunny side up, French mustard, tomato, onion and cheddar, on fragrant sesame brioche bun. Its teammate is none other than the wagyu beef Black burger ($28.00) – nicknamed "Black", of course. This mean burg is crafted out of US wagyu beef patty, avocado, beer-battered onion rings, streaky bacon, tomato, wild rocket leaves, smoked cheddar, BWB BBQ sauce, truffle jam, and bamboo charcoal brioche bun.
Don’t count out the chooks corner though. The freshly made, crispy, deep-fried chicken wings menu includes the Sexy Flambe Jambalaya stuffed wings ($13.80), Heavyweight wings ($14.50) and the early crowd favourite, Hot Buffalo wings ($15.80). These golden-brown beauties are served with battered water spinach, and comes in three levels of spicy sauces from mild, medium to 'suicide'.
Wait, there’s a scenestealer in this fight. At dinner time, top up $7.90 (adult) or $5 (child) with every purchase of main course to receive unlimited servings of tapas, appetiers, soups and desserts. For respite from the action, premium beers and cocktails are served up at the bar. To tip the scales even further in your favour, mention that you saw this HungryGoWhere advertorial, and receive 30 per cent off your total bill until 31 May. Hurry down, the match is on!
