Singaporeans take their Sunday brunches very seriously and our friends at Catalunya have got all their bases covered.
Expect a wide variety of Spanish cured meats, breads and cheeses to make up the bulk of your brunch. When it comes to eggs, this is the place to ditch the Benedict and have yours scrambled and served on a bed of potato with a selection of cured meats,. For the more adventurous try the deconstructed tortilla de trampo (traditional Spanish omelette).
For the bigger eaters, the delectable Bikini sandwich (jamon, truffle and cheese) is a divine precursor to the main event – the suckling pig. Presented with a little flair and fanfare, staff carve out individual portions using plates (it is that tender an crisp) so everyone gets to sample this little slice of heaven.
Still hungry? There’s a veal shank and lamb thigh carved at the table, and a flaming salt-crusted whole fish so you’re not just full but stuffed!
Brunch is served from 12.30pm to 4pm every Sunday (there is only one seating), priced at $98++ per person inclusive of juices, tea and coffee. For an additional $48++ per person, guests can enjoy unlimited Cava and a selection of cocktails.
