TWG Tea Salon & Boutique

If you love tea as much as I do, you will be in heaven when you visit the new TWG Tea Salon & Boutique at ION Orchard. TWG has the largest tea collection in the world, with over 1,000 varieties. Since the place does not take reservations, getting a table is mission impossible (I have tried on several occasions at different timing). If you do not wish to queue, my advice is to pop by early, before 11am (I finally realised that it is the best time to get a table).

The cosy and traditional ambience at TWG reminds me of Richoux, a traditional tea salon I used to visit when I was living in London. Very old school and charming!

Decorated with exquisite ornate mirrors and an antique brass patisserie counter reminiscent of old tea salons in Europe, it's almost impossible to tell TWG is actually established in Singapore!

Looks aside, the food is pretty great too. I like the breakfast sets which comes in different sizes. 'Paris Breakfast' ($16.50) and 'London Breakfast' ($18.50) are for the "slightly peckish", 'Singapore Breakfast' ($22.50) is for the "hungry", while 'Gourmet' ($36) and 'MidSummer' ($36) are for the "starving".
