General store view of Dean & DeLuca
Finally, Singapore has a Dean & DeLuca.
The New York fine food purveyor will open on the fourth floor of Orchard Central on 22 June.
The Singapore flagship will take up 3,200 sq ft of space, and will house a bakery, shop and a cafe. The cafe will take up 40 per cent of the entire space and will serve an all-day brunch menu.
Dishes such as The New Yorker (scrambled eggs, dill-cured salmon and chives on a toasted bagel), banana salted caramel and French toasted brioche, and the Berries and Flap Jacks (oat and honey buttermilk pancakes topped with fresh mixed berries and Dean & DeLuca's organic pure maple syrup) will be served at the cafe.

House brand items, such as the pancake mix and syrup, will be used in the kitchen.
At the shop, a cheese display counter showcases cheeses from the United Kingdom to France, the US, Australia and New Zealand. There will also be a bakery counter to buy breads and pastries, and plenty of items to sample around the store.
Like at all Dean & DeLuca stores, each product comes with a story. There will be over 1,000 stories to discover — ranging from a profile of the farmer to the way the product was made. In Singapore, Dean & DeLuca store assistants will be armed with iPads and similar technology to aid the storytelling to customers.
Established in 1977, the food emporium chain that started as a corner grocery store in Soho has since opened in 18 international locations. Singapore is the eighth country it's opening in.
