While we do enjoy the occassional fine dining meal, it is the affordable, well-made plate of food that does the trick for us on regular days. Singapore's hottest new restaurants and bars aside, we have a permanent soft spot for great food that is easily accessible at wallet-friendly prices. 

With the increasing standard of living on this island, it is comforting to know that a good meal can still be had for no more than a few dollars.
