i don't eat them now (dunno why) but when i was younger, my mom stocked up Sara Lee's chocolate pound cake as a treat. She puts them into the freezer first so when she sliced it up, each piece was cold and really delicious.

  7.
how is the pound cake production process different from normal cakes?
    •
      CommentAuthorSCdreamer (CommentTimeApr 12th 2008)

Just from observations, poundcake is more dense, and traditionally uses a pound of each ingredients

    POUND CAKE

    wiki pound cake

"normal " cakes uses a variation in the quantity of the flour and other ingredients hence can be lighter or heavier. mmm...i'm just a amateur baker( hasn't bake for long time), pls correct me if I'm wrong.

good finding SC, well, either it is as u mentioned... or the next logical thought that comes to mind: 1 gains an extra pound after finishing the pound cake... hehehehehe
