Perhaps this cant really b considered chill out but anyway, I checked out Bellini Room recently on Ladies Nite and I quite like it. Its actually a jazz bar and one can nurse a drink (5 free drinks on ladies nite, keke) whilst enjoying the resident singers belting out jazz numbers with a live band. Heard from my fren that sometimes, there are patrons who will launch into a lindy hop number and its fun to join in. (**Yes, lindy hop is a fun dance really. :P)

Meanwhile, has anyone checked out Jazz@Southbridge? Heard raves abt this place but have yet to check it out.

Agree that bellini room is a nice hang out spot. But Rail Mall might be a good choice as well

TWC was nice when we supported it at its opening several years back. It's since been overrun by the hordes, sadly, leaving little space during peak periods. And poor Victor, Belinda and gang have to accommodate and bring in a lot more non-South African wines because lots of people aren't brave enough to order things they don't know enough of. Even TWC Evans has been lost to similar hordes...

You can get very good wines at TWC, for very good value. I highly recommend Ingwe Amehlo Red (I had at least 12 bottles of this).

Many other good choices include the Zonnebloem Laureat and others in the range, Fairview range, Le Bonheur Prima, Goats do Roam In Villages Red, Goat Roti, Buitenverwachting Christine, Stellenrust, Thelema Sauvignon Blanc or Chardonnay, Vergelegen Vergelegen. Many more I've not explored.
