Opens only for lunch on weekdays, the sauce is so thick the fork stays up vertical when you stick it into the rice, pork chop, squid, cabbage, taupok, three layered pork smothered in soy gravy and yellow curry. Best. Pasir Panjang hawker center next to the Pasir Panjang Park.

sq 2 there is a shop selling korean strawberries. 7 bucks. very nice and they advertise that they are the cheapest in Singapore.

The Curry Favor's at Velocity next door is good too. The ton katsu curry there is pretty good.

i'm wondering if bryani counts as curry + rice? cos in actual fact, bryani is served with chicken/ mutton/ fish curry too. i just had quite a nice serving of mutton bryani this afternoon at ubi techpark 'kopitiam' canteen... not bad. decent portion of rice + mutton. tiny bit of pickles on the side + 1 whole hard boiled egg. cost me $4 only. shiok~!

ya, that bryani super long queue, the 1st time i visited (back in the 90's)... i had a shock that they even had 4D/toto queue in the food court... only to realize they've got 1 of the fiercest bryani in town. food tastes satisfying, portion simply fulfilling.

i go there with my folks sometimes, and have to share
  5.
oh ya..old town white coffee @ big splash has an item called curry chicken glutinous rice! sounds rly interesting but the last time i went there i din get to try it cos it was sold out alr ><
i wonder how they'd combine curry and glutinous rice tgt though...

Sorry for the delay - did not follow up on this forum.

Pasir Panjang Curry stall. This is in the Pasir Panjang park along Pasir Panjang road, opposite Pepys Road. There are two U shaped food stall area. The looking at it from the main road, the curry rice is on the right U section. It is next to a coffee stall and you can spot a queue there. Also try the one I just wrote on at Teban gardens.
Also famous there is the Pasir Panjang fried kway teow, fried by one X C cook, the fried prawn noodles is also good, and satay of course.

kitchener rd for the hainanese styled curry (scissors cut) rice... of cos, many other places have that too. the starchy non-spicy curry gravy... either u luv it or hate it..
  6.
    Hey Weighty Man,

What dishes in particular do you like at this Pasir Panjang Curry rice stall? Besides the Hainanese pork chop I presume? Am on the lookout for good curry rice places and what good dishes they have there!

The Kitchener road one is called Jian Dao Jian curry rice. Now standard dropped so much and so expensive. The curry is so starchy now. In the 80s I used to go with my parents to eat and it was really very good then...
