okok...i have finally tried the highly recommended MPT, altho i opt for mee kia la...not a mee pok person...

has lard (yes, LARD), fried fish (smthg like ikan bilis style but its the bigger fish, dunno if anyone can visualise, anyway it provided tt extra crunch which i like), 1 prawn, quite a number of pcs of liver, pcs of meat, sprinkling of minced meat
generous with the fried shallots, etc...fragrant..
ordered with chilli but not spicy enuff for me (chillis on the side like not spicy enuff too)
soup on the side is ok too...definitely not 'water + msg'...
noodles not soggy, can be 'springier'

    $3.50 per bowl

overall, yes eatable but no kick enuff for me...wld prefer it to b much spicier and more vinegar ( think i gotta ask for more vinegar next time)

hey cg. glad u tried that Meng Kitchen. if u wan more chilli or vinegar, juz ask the uncles for more. i am sure they will fully oblige, if u are a SYT of cos!

p.s. too much chilli no good wor... pimples will pop
    •
      CommentAuthorcloudgal (CommentTimeApr 3rd 2008)

    eh...me chilli queen...no chilli cannot...
chilli is my antidote for a lot of things....

pimples only out when i dun sleep enuff / dun drink enuff water...or stressed

me no more SYT leh...hmm okok i know..tie ponytail, wear my school tee shirt and FBT shorts in flip flops...muahaha...can pass can pass

In PRC, calling any waitress or lady xiao jie is likened to an insult.
Waitresses will only respond to xiao mei, or more commonly fu wu yuan.
