wah CRM? thats not good in the long run, why not just get CW to give u a knock out punch??? hahaha..

mmm...food wise can try turkey? it has this chemical that's suppose to make u sleepy and calm.

I think u just hve to resist sleeping in the day, go for a run/walk/some day activity that will tired u out (mmm...do it before dinner). Basically change the sleep pattern.

some wine do help...exercise during the day helps too...
cos it seems like you are probably tired mentally but your physical self not tired enuff to warrant sleep. in this case, exercise helps

always ensure tt u do not eat or work in bed...so tt subconsciously ur mind will only equate sleep to bed...
try to RnR nearing bedtime...minimise stress if poss (its an uphill task i know)...less active brain, easier to sleep...

better yet, wat me and my frens always say, jus open a textbook, try to read and tada! cfm sleep...:P

Food rich in tryptophan* such as nuts, peanut butter, turkey, and milk, can help encourage better sleep.

*Tryptophan is an amino acid, and the body uses it to produce serotonin, which is the neurotransmitter that reduces the activity of the nerves resulting in your brain being more calm (tryptophan acts as a precursor to the manufacture of melatonin and serotonin which are known to be sleep-inducing substances).

If its just sleep you are after: eating carbs will help increase the amt of tryptophan to the brain.

Tryptophan aids in producing serotonin, however consuming food high in it does not increase levels of tryptophan available to the brain. tryptophan is one of the least abundant amino acid thus while 'competing' with more common amino acids for access to our brain, it would lose.

Consuming carbs results in insulin being produced resulting in common amino acids to be diverted to body muscles. Tryptophan is thus left with access to our brains (as it is left in the blood stream) n aids in the production of serotonin and melatonin. :)

If you don't drink wine, then I would suggest making sure that you add sugar and milk to your hot drink (like milo). These help to induce a response to digest them, which then helps to induce sleep.

For seasoned coffee and tea drinkers, adding these to your coffee or tea at night will help to reduce the stimulative effect of caffeine. I'm one of those who can zzz shortly after drinking coffee or tea with milk and sugar.

I'm always amazed by those ppl, like my mum, who can sleep even after drinking a cup of coffee. If I drink coffee at 3pm I won't be able to sleep the whole night!

for me, anything that contains caffeine will cause sleeplessness... so if i happen to have a drink of: kopi/ tea/ coke... etc... then it will be "Sleepless in Singapore" for me

on the contrary, i dont have a problem getting a good sleep after; milo/ ovaltine/ milk/ ho-ho-horlicks... or anything alcoHOlic... heheh
