Does someone know where to buy Kapiti ice creams in tubs? This is a NZ brand so I figure only NZ grocers will retail them in tubs. Is there any NZ grocer in Singapore? I remember a mention somewhere some time ago, but just can't recall.
fyi, the honey & fig and "vanilla bean" ice creams you eat at Marmalade Pantry, Whitebait & Kale, Brown Sugar, Whatever Cafe, Prive Cafe etc all use Kapiti ice creams. -> not "homemade" if you actually thought they are.
i think cellar door originated from NZ, but it also sells food from other countries. i vaguely remember seeing the word 'kapiti' somewhere at the ice cream booth in the deli...i can't be 100% sure but no harm checking it out :)
i can't remember exactly what ice cream flavours they sell, but i know there's triple chocolate, some flavour with bits of real honey inside, and some fig-related flavour.
CC: thanks! I just called them! Cellar Door does retail the Kapiti ice creams in 1 litre tubs at $18.50. But they are out of stock now probably coming in only next week. thanks!
contrarian: thanks! It's Absolutely New Zealand. This is the one I read about in the papers some time ago. Now I'll just have to call if they retail Kapiti.
