   anyone would be interested in a cake/dessert outing? i dun really have anything up my mind. but becos desserts and cakes can be quite personal to some people, maybe asking for feedback may not be a bad idea. so pls shoot.

   place: suggest a few
   
   date: dun have to be specific e.g. most week nites or only weekends
   
   budget: no need lah. i eat u pay. hah!

   ermm...start at demsey PS cafe choc cake, the dessert plc next to BJ, steeples milk shake at tanglin SC, then just move along orchard....ending at seah st? wah like a lot to cover leh....I think better limit to a few places..that really have GOOD desserts n cakes...

   ermm...only for registered members in this event, muz have a budget per person...if not got cheapo type that just bring 1 slice of cake ...hahaha...anyway must hv rules lah....
   
   then we can also have a HGW banner...take photo...create publicity...etc...hahahaha....
   
   OH NO!!! my imagination is getting wild!!!! must be exam stresssssss.....but can u imagine the spread!!!! WOW!!! dessert / cake pinic party!!!! wahhhhhh.......

   tat will be a dessert safari, trying desserts and cakes from one place to another. but this i think would have to happen on a weekend since its gonna take about half a day or more.
   
   alternatively, i was thinking of juz nuaing at a good desserts place on a week nite. No dinner, just desserts!
   
   SC i like your idea of the potluck. it will definitely bring about lots of variety. but one bad thing is that the cakes or desserts may not look as appetizing compared to having them at the place of origin.

   rata: I think its best that you identify the DTV, cap number of ppl and just get attendance. 'Cos opening to the floor will only indulge in a wild and moving target, and it will prob end up gg nowhere really as its gonna be v difficult to cater to every HGW dessert lover's schedule or preferences.

    Rogue serves quite interesting desserts once every month/2 months or so. If you want, I can talk to the pastry chef for you.

    I spoke to the pastry chef and he said ok. 3 course dessert for $25 nett. Date has to be after 21st July, but I told him probably will be beginning August.

    hey speaking of chendol, i found a plce tat sells top class chendol! as authentic as u can get here in sg.
    
    its located at blk 22 toa payoh lor 7. i went there specially juz for the chendol yesterday. damn shiok!

    if its a 3 course dessert, i suggest 1 chocolatey one for choc lovers, 1 fruity or tangy one for ppl who dun like too much sweetness and lastly a ching tng to clear the taste.

    go try the one that CG is talking abt. Its at rendevous hotel 2nd flr curry rice plc. the gula melaka is good....beans are the normal size ones...iit would be better ,if they have a mixure of both small n big type...and the green jelly could be softer then it would be perfect...NOW its GOOD and better than any local chendol i have tried...
    
    can't wait to try malacca's version..heard that its super duper uber good!!!

    1st week of aug will mean 4th aug that week? Will it clash with any pre-National Day celebrations promo by the food outlet that may affect the plans? Not trying to pour cold water but just trying to sieve out any potential issues that may turn up last min.
    
    FYI, I will be out of town from 7th to 10th Aug (Volunteer Camp).

    wee hubert: its 25 nett. that means about 8 per dessert. although i have nevert tried the food there, knowing the place, i would day that it is reasonable although i would not say that it is cheap.
    
    i am sure the chef is gonna dish up some specials for us rite, FP? :P
