    Dear all

Any good recommendations for Buffet Promotions? Good if it is 1-for-1, no particular cuisine

In fact, this month has a few but not so good ones as compared to previous months, have more 1-for-1 promotions from 5-Star hotels?

Please advice. Thanks a lot.

actually more often than not it is cheaper to not eat buffet. if you like to eat alot until pengz just go to hawker center and order one of each item you still won't spend buffet price...

tks for ur comments, usually i will spend at least 3 hrs for buffet on weekend, eat slowly, read a book and enjoy the ambience and services.

so prefer international buffet at hotels where not so crowded and can eat different kinds of food and relax. so thinking of going other hotels with good value for money promotions!

So feel free to recommend good ones! tks a lot!

FY: Enjoy a quiet time to read, chat and with good food can be done at restaurants. Hotels' buffets, especially on weekends are often busy and noisy isn't it?

Try quiet restaurants or cafes in small sub-urban areas, it's really enjoyable. Take your time to order and have your food and your tea / coffee. Maybe I'm the lazy type la. I don't like to walk here and there while I'm in a reading or chatting mood ; ) Serangoon Gardens on weekend afternoons are great, Holland V on weekdays afternoons are great ; )

hi, tks for ur info and think good suggestion too!

not all hotels are noisy with their buffet, some are cosy and quite quiet (if u sit at a corner) and can enjoy free flow of food and drinks with soft music and yet can relax and read a book! perhaps is different lifestyle and preferences...(the staff wont chase you off and in fact welcome you to sit in so long as possible)

alternative: Have Chicken Rice Man cook out a storm for you on the weekends and it'll be as quiet as it gets.

I agree with PM on quieter places. Although, when I really wanna read, I will read at home. 'Cos I like to lounge on my bed, lean back on the headrest and read. Always comfy and no one to interrupt. Besides, I am the kind that once I start reading, I can't stop till I finish the entire book. Unless that book is a huge bore.
As for chatting with friends, quiet cafes are good when I want aircon. Although I do patronize coffeeshops or fast food rstnts in the heartlands too. Cheap and definitely won't chase you away. Another plus point is, walking distance or minimal transport and I can be in my flip-flops, shorts and tee.

coffeebean at holland v is a good place to go if you're looking for cafes. of course there aint free flow of food, but they provide -free flow of iced water and cold milk-! lets hope not everyone will start doing this esp since with the economic downturn least they stop providing this service
