I've been dining at Mimolette at least once a month now and always found my visits there to be very pleasant experience. Their service is good, the staff are keen. Their location is unbeatable. You dont have to worry about parking. What I like about them is the variety. Brunch, Lunch and Dinner are different menus and different types of people going there which is amazing to watch. Recently my friends and I tried the new BBQ on Sundays. We thought it was a wonderful idea. You have a choice to dine outdoors or indoors. The meats and seafood was very well done. The ambience was also very enjoyable for a night out with friends. Its rare to dine among so much folliage, with good music, and good food. I highly recommend it

I had categorized Mimolette's food quality to be inconsistent, the service patchy but the ambience, given the surroundings, has always made the dining experience somewhat pleasant. For the 3 occasions I have dined there, I found the meats to be quite good.

Still, nothing prepared me and my group of Singaporean and international friends last Sunday.

The restaurant informed earlier that it would only serve barbeque for Sunday dinner. Thinking that it was Mimolette after all, and the quality should adhere to certain restaurant standards, I thought it should be ok.

The whole experience was disastrous. They had a paltry self-service salad bar offering potato salad, garlic bread, muffins, cookies and jello in plastic containers. The meats came in a tray, some overcooked, some still cold and undercooked.

My polite Swiss friend said it was not quite what he expected of a restaurant. While a more blunt patron said that it reminded him of American dorm food with meats cooked by on a makeshift BBQ pit.

We have all concluded that we would never go back to Mimolette again, even if the usual Ala Carte menu is available. Chances are we will all warn our friends. I hope the restaurant owners and chef realize how badly such a sub-standard BBQ offering is hurting them.

I would have rated the food and beverage as ZERO if not for the redeeming starters of soup of cauliflower and shrimp salad. It's such a waste of such a lovely setting.

the food was just ok. the size of the dishes are small. we had to change some apetizers because they were uneatable. they tried to charge us for this (even if though they told us it would be free of charge (after a long discussion)). the service is simply bad. i took 20 minutes to bring a second bottle of wine. they brought the bill as we were still eating. if you spend more than SGD 150.- per person you may expect good quality of food and service. this was not the case.

Chose this place to bring my Japanese colleague for a nice dinner

Very impressed with location although some of us felt that we have lost our way or are we even on the right track. Nevertheless hard to find = exclusive right?

The ambience was great, romantic, quiet, elegant. I think it makes a good venue for ROM, even with the alfresco areas

Food was GREAT even down to desserts and the service staff were great and knew their menus well.

I would recommend this place if you are thinking of impressing your date.
