Bittersweet symphony

With its bracingly bitter flavour, ginseng is a challenging ingredient to blend into a cocktail. Mixing its essence with plenty of fresh fruit is one way to do it, while still allowing the bitterness to come though at a pleasant level in the finish. 

Recipe serves 1
Difficulty: Easy
Preparation time: 10 minutes
Cooking time: No cooking required

30ml Domaine de Canton
15ml vodka
60ml Korean ginseng drink
2 scoops yellow watermelon
Seeds of one passion fruit
Dash of plum bitters to finish
Ginseng root for garnish

Special equipment needed:

1. Muddle the watermelon in a shaker and add the rest of the ingredients in with ice.
2. Shake and strain into a bowl.
3. Flame the plum bitters over the bowl to complete the drink and garnish with the ginseng root.
