Have your way with oatmeal

Oatmeal is a delicious way to satisfy your hunger while maintaining a healthy, wholesome diet. This toasty grain is rich in fibre and B vitamins, and is also touted as being able to lower cholesterol. Too often though, oatmeal is overlooked as a versatile and interesting ingredient.

Here are three recipes to inspire you to give oatmeal a try, or to reinvigorate your relationship with this hearty grain: start your day off right with an easy sweetened baked oatmeal with fresh berries, or the creamiest ever soy oatmeal with bananas.

And surprise: oatmeal doesn’t have to be sweet. Be sure to try the tasty savoury oatmeal porridge with minced pork, egg and fried shallots.
