Reliability of Reviews

HungryGoWhere.com is a “bottom up” review website based on food reviews from people who are passionate about food. The reviewers are not professionals and HungryGoWhere does not pay reviewers for posting their reviews on the site.

While we are extremely confident that everyone using HungryGoWhere will reduce the probability of a bad meal or a bad dining experience, it does not guarantee that the meal or experience at the restaurant you are trying out will always meet your expectations.

The majority of reviews on HungryGoWhere are authentic and written by people who have eaten at the restaurant. However, a small minority of reviewers abuse the HungryGoWhere platform for their own personal agenda. The following are the steps we have put in place to help ensure the integrity of the HungryGoWhere website.

“Food Buddies”

e would strongly advice you to place greater weight on the reviews of reviewers you trust. Read through the various reviews and look out for reviewers with many “Followers” and who have similar taste buds to you, Sign Up and then add them as your Food Buddy by going to their profile page and click on the “Add Food Buddy” link. Once you have done that, you will be notified every time they write a new review (either via email if you have chosen to do so, or through your Notification page).

Peer Moderation

Under every review found on HungryGoWhere, there is a question “Helpful Review?” with a thumbs up/thumbs down sign. Reviews with an excessive number of “thumbs down” votes will be given lesser weightage in the Overall Rating calculation of the Food Establishment. Only registered members of HungryGoWhere can vote.

Removing of Inappropriate Reviews

In addition, we have a Review Policy to ensure that reviews stay within common decency boundaries and contribute meaningfully to all HungryGoWhere users seeking information on restaurants and other F&B establishments. HungryGoWhere reserves the right to remove immediately any reviews or any comments posted that violate our Review Policy.

Our permanent commitment to everyone in the F&B community is to ensure that the reviews on HungryGoWhere are regulated in a proper manner JOINTLY BY the community in partnership with the HungryGoWhere team. It is only with this close partnership that we are together able to create a truly democratic food community here at HungryGoWhere with reliable and trustworthy reviews.
