Yaki Yaki Bo

Everything looked so tempting with the pictures and the descriptions in the menus. After much "struggle", we decided on the Teppanyaki Wagyu Beef Set and Seafood/Chicken Teppan Set, and redeemed a chawamushi. That was a lot of food! Keke 1) Teppanyaki Wagyu Beef Set This was on promotional price of $13.90++ ( usual price: $17.90++), consisting of a salad, egg tofu, beef, miso soup, rice and fruit. Beside the beef slices, there was also a lot of bean sprouts and bread. I suppose the bread was there to absorb the excessive oil, but again you can eat it lah. Keke The beef slices was good with the sweet teppanyaki sauce. Bean sprouts was crispy. Both were great to go along with rice. 2) Teppanyaki Chicken/Seafood Set I have forgotten the price for this, but should be around $20+/-. Again, there was salad, egg tofu, chawanmushi, miso soup, rice and fruit beside seafood & chicken. This set was great! There was seafood, meat and vegetable ( bean sprouts mah..).. a "well-balanced meal" indeed! Keke The salmon was ok. The prawns and scallop was bigggggggggg... I was expecting something smaller. On the other hand, there was only 2 of each, so kind of not enough since we were sharing food. But then, to be fair, the set was meant for 1 pax so the serving was reasonable bah. The chicken was really tender, and not greasy or tough. Each piece was neatly cubed in a mouth size and you can pop the chicken cube in the mouth easily! Overall, it was a satisfying meal with lotza "surprises" ( referring to the portion, quality etc) here and there. Therefore, if you are looking for middle ranged teppanyaki place, this should make a nice choice. Sin Ming Ave is a fair hike from here - 3 bus stops! It's near Sin Ming Road & one end of Sin Ming Drive instead.
