| Chef RayB bottom Line: Dallas serves western food at a good price in a tourist location
Everyone,
I am tired of reading reviews of people that don't give the bottom line.
This year I will review any restaurant that I pick from hungrygowhere.
The following are the good and the bad of Dallas:
Context: I went there for lunch with co-workers
Good:
- Not Expensive place for the location
- Nice Ambiance / Decor
- Good & Quick Service
Bad:
- The food is average for a western food
- Some dishes can be more healthy
Good for:
- Fast Service Lunch
- Quiet Lunch on the 2nd floor
- Craving for ribs, good price for western food in tourist location.
Not Good:
- Fine Dining
Keep in Mind:
- The set lunch might change when you read this review
- This is boat quay and the set lunch are geared to the people working close by
I would go to this place for lunch with co-workers on the 2nd floor or
when I feel to have ribs...but not too many times...
Proof:
- The restaurant is very clean, nice lighting, comfortable seats and
table clothes !
- The 2nd floor is beautiful, quiet and comfortable ! Try to get a
window seat :)
- The service was good and the food arrived very quickly and the staff
let me exchange the coffee/tea with Iced Tea !
- The food is just okay. I went there 3 times with a few people, I
tried all the possible set lunches ! There are no fireworks...
- The best set lunch are the ribs, they are okay for Singapore but
there is better.
- 5 people =90 ( 5 set lunches) + SVC = $105
If you don't agree, email me.
If you are the owner/chef reading this, well you are have a nice
restaurant, good price in a good location...

Management Response: 4 May 2009
Dear Chef Ray B,
Thank you for your feedback. We are glad that you enjoyed your dining experience at our restaurant and our efficient service – something we are very proud of indeed. Our ribs are indeed popular and that is why we are offering them 50% off on Monday and Tuesday evenings.
We believe in offering value, such that even though our service and ambience on the second floor is indeed the place for fine dining, we do not sell our products at fine dining prices. This makes the floor ideal for holding corporate events.
Should you have any request and further feedback, please feel free to call me at 6532 2131 and I would be more than happy to personally assist you in any way.
Yours Sincerely
Jason

Chef RayB on Absolute Haven: Chef RayB bottom Line: Absolute Haven is far from heaven Listen 007,
I'll break it down for you very quicky and this is my last reply kid, I don't have time for all this childish games...
1- You are the one saying false statements. I'm amazed what people can do for $10.
2- I make $150 per hour... I have nothing to gain here... you can't buy me with money because I make good money...get it ?
3- I don't work in a F&B restaurant. Expats don't come here to work in F&B restaurant... use your little brain...
4- Having your little buddy creating an account and saying he is on your side doesn't change nothing on my view. He has no credential ! Again use your little brain...
The bottom line: ABSOLUTE HAVEN IS FAR FROM HEAVEN
This is really cheap entertainment.

khoo dan on Absolute Haven: Chef RayB bottom Line: Absolute Haven is far from heaven Dear Chef RayB
On the fish issue, I beg to differ. I was there on Sunday with my gf and we ordered the seabass too, but we don't find that the seabass is "stinky or not fresh". We will go back to try the cod soon.
Some how or rather, I feel that there might be some personal issues which you might have on the restaurant.. I am sure everyone is just trying to earn some decent living, just putting such strong words seems too harsh, don't you think so?
Hmmm... 007 has just win me over to his side =)
