OK food

Visited this restaurant for dinner with wife, (wifey luvs tom yum gung) so insisted she want to go to a thai restaurant.

ordered alacarte. had a fish/ prawns / kai lan/ a pot of tomyumgung

the food is pretty good. the tomyumgung is very hot and spicy.
spend about 30 per pax. pretty satisfying meal.

only problem is the light is faulty and will get dimmer and brighter . and the waiter did not bother to fix it or guide us to another seat.

highend tempura

Brought wifey to tenshin for christmas holidays celebration.

We knew their speciality is tempura and had high expectations and prepared to spend a bomb.

Had 150 bucks kaiseki sushimi with tempura and wifey had 150 bucks kaiseki.

The Tempura is really good and justify the high price. Definitely much better than the common ones at other japanese restaurants.

Batter is light and nicely complement the main ingredient taste. each tempura is juicy and we can taste the natural sweetness of the ingredients.

The mushroom, asparagus , eel , prawns , scallops. All very good.

Only Disappointment is the seared Wagyu beef which is ok only but costs us 100 bucks.

Must Tries: scallops

Just like in Japan

Brought my two Japanese Friends to Liang Court Jap supermarket and came across Haato (japanese gelato)

I suggest having a taste and see how issit different from Japan.

We were giving the staff a hard time as the 3 of us tasted at least 4 flavours each haha...

My Jap friends got really excited "Brings back childhood memories" one quoted as she tasted the strawberry flavour. She went on to taste green tea, red bean and Sweet potato with honey and chestnut. "Oishi"

The other Jap friend tried Vanilla, Yuzu , Mango and Chocolate.
"better than Hagendaz neh" was her response. She is supprised that the taste is just like in Japan.

I got myself a Scoop of Durian and my friends got mango and Passionfruit respectively.. citing that fruit based gelato is more expensive in Japan, thus they rather try the fruit based flavours.

The durian gelato is really rich in durian flavour and it is just like eating cold durian. (after which my jap friend refuse to talk to me hohoho) They still cannot handle durian haha

OVerall the experience is fantastic. Will come back to try more flavour next time.

Must Tries: Durian
