| Decent food, yummy desserts
My partner is a fan and that's why I'm always there. Been there on a few occasions and will summarise it all together, so this is going to be a long review.
First of all, no meal at Miss Clarity is complete without their delicious desserts, but first, I will talk about the food.
1. Chicken/Fish Cordon Bleu (~$9.80)
One of the more yummy dishes here. Very nicely fried and the accompanying sauce goes really well with the chicken/fish.
2. Chicken Leg (~$13.80?)
Pretty nice but you have to be a garlic lover. I'm not. The mushroom sauce which was poured over the chicken as full of garlic. Gave up after a while as the garlic got too much for me.
3. Seafood Paella (~$15.80)
Not bad. Has the consistency of Mui Fan you get from coffee shops. I thought Paella was supposed to be drier? Taste like some kind of seafood sauce with tomato.
In all, the food was IMHO a bit better than average. Now for the exciting part, Desserts!!!!
1. Chocolate Digestive bar (~$4.50)
This consists of very thick chocolate fudge on top of a digestive bar. I thought this was a bit steep considering some of the cooked desserts were cheaper. Tastes like a super thick chocolate coated digestive bar.
2. Mud Ooze ($5.80)
This is essentially warm chocolate cake. It is chocolate caked baked in a cup with a scoop of vanilla ice cream on top. It's called mud ooze beacuse thick and dark chocolate OOZES out when you dig your spoon in. This is my partner's favourite dessert. Delicious but perhaps the management can consider using better quality vanilla ice cream? Luckily the chocolate more than makes up for it.
3. Banana Tart ($5.80)
Absolutely YUMMY!!! My personal fav. =) A small baked tart filled with bananas accompanied with a scoop of ice cream (chocolate/vanilla). My advice is to choose chocolate as the Vanilla has a very weird and artificial flavour that tastes nothing like normal vanilla.
4. Creme Brulee ($3.80)
Flavours for this dessert is always changing depending on the day of the week. I tried the Cappuccino flavoured one and taste wise was above average. However, it's a bit hard of creme brulee. Normal creme brulee has the consistency of Chawan Mushi. However, this one was more like a pudding. That said, it was still, nice, smooth and creamy.
