i filled up on the desserts actually

Have heard much hype about Carousel from almost everywhere and finally got to try it today! could be due to it being the weekend but while variety is okay for the price ($39+++ for lunch), quality varied, bustling with activity too as it was overun with families and large groups.

Items that were good
1) Roast chicken - ooh succulent and tasty especially with the array of sauces, even my partner who hates chicken found this good (ask for the thigh!!)
2) carbona pasta - cooked to order by the chef, usually comes with beef but was good plain even when i opted for no meat
3) berry creme brulee
4) pineapple ...

There was also roast lamb, chicken rice ball, beef noodles soup, mediocre and small variety of dimsum, pasta which you can select from variety of sauces(carbonara, aglio olio, bolognese, pesto), moussaka, duck curry, cold seafood, jap food, salad bar.. etc

'tiger' prawns under the cold seafood seem to have suffered a bout of malnutrition though, and not too sure why but just didnt take to the cold crabs much. have heard that there was good roast beef and oysters as well but didnt see any today! :(
oh and do pass on the ice cream.. other desserts especially shooters are quite interesting.

service was more than adequate.. well done!

i think it is better to go back on a weekday when quality is not compromised and you can take a slow and leisurely lunch. 15% off with UOB too, good to try at least once :)

Must Tries: roasts with yorkshire pudding, jacket potato and sauce!

I also recommend this place for
Type of meal:Brunch, Buffet, Lunch, Hi Tea
Occasion:Large Groups/Gathering, Children/Family, Chillout
Atmosphere:Vibrant/Noisy

on Sticky Rice (AMK Hub): thai food? where??
A simple look at the kitchen will able tell you the quality of the food. I go by a very simple test personally. If the kitchen is smaller than a typical HDB kitchen, the food is probably pre-cooked somewhere and it's simply "heat up / mirowave" to be served at the "resturant" table ; )

The best meal in my life was at
home :]

I drink only
water teas juices

I'm allergic to
food that is meant to be savoury but tastes sweet instead, prawns that are not de-veined!

My last meal would be
good bread and butter, smoked salmon pasta in a cream based sauce

When I'm not eating I'm
sleeping and being a struggling student
