Hi ICE,
I guess you are right.
Many would agree to this saying. What you pay is what you get.
But even after saying that, @ a Hawker Center still, even though I wouldn't expect too much of the standard of hygene there but still, I would not expect the cooks to lick the ladle after they have used it to "scoop" the soup for me. (If you know what I mean)
Even so, out of sight out of mind? Would you still eat there is you saw it? Worse still, after seeing all the +ve remarks of the place?
I do not claim to have paid alot but honestly... I did not expect to "see" this little incident @ a restaurant of such a standard.

Hi,
Thanx for the comment. I am not sure who is Phyllis is but I did speak to a lady behind the cash register about it. And it seems like the culprit was also the "head" chef.
Honestly, it kinda left my stomach churning wondering what else they could have done to my food.
Worst still, my pal who lives near there who told me how "nice" this place was ended up feeling quite embrassed.

I've always wonder if pple goes there because of the photo frames on the wall. Glad that you wrote this review.
I always wonder if it's worthwhile standing along the street and at their steps waiting for seats.
