| A little below expectations
Read a couple of "thumbs up" reviews highlighting the excellent alcoholic ice cream here and so decided to pop by this place (albeit ulu) to try it out.
Perhaps I had too high expectations of the ice cream here, thus I left feeling slightly disappointed with the 'weak' alcoholic flavours.
Ordered the Black Forest, Butter Scotch Pecan, and the Lychee Martini flavours as part of a 3-scoop set. All were pretty decent but none particularly stood out though the Lychee Martini ice cream did had a strong lasting taste.
Maybe for people who like alcoholic ice cream but prefer a more subtle liqueur taste, this is the right place for you. Otherwise for more 'hardcore' alcholic lovers, it may be wise to continue your search elsewhere. |

ice on Marvelous Cream: Ordinary ice-cream This chain is from Japan, the mix-ins are tried and tested standard creations. Unless you choose your own. I tried their creation. I believe JieGang did too with the rum ice cream and chose the one he thought he would have liked. If the mix-ins didn't go well together, and mine didn't, then it sure says something.
Gaz on Marvelous Cream: Ordinary ice-cream I think the mix-in is personal preference... I thought the biscuit thingy was not too bad... and the amount of cream added is subjected to the server 'cooking' up the creation for you.
I do agree with you and Ice that their ice-cream serving should be larger for the price they charge...
