| Great Chilli Crab & Great Service
I ordered the Set Menu for 2 and they were flexible enough to change the black pepper crab to chilli crab for us as we want to eat it with the mantou.
While waiting, the staff came and told us the quality of the Red Tilapia was not as good and if it was ok they remove it from the set menu and charge us as ala carte prices.
My guest from overseas were pleasantly surprise as she told me most other restaurant would have just serve it quietly anyway.
What we ate in the end:
Chilli Crab and Mantou: Simply heavenly and delicious with succulent fresh and the sauce just the right spicy sweet taste. The mantou was as usual, golden crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside.
Otak: 4 pieces were quite a lot for 2 of us. No fishy smell, bbq just right.
Hor Fun: The slightly 'burnt' taste showed that big fire was used and it could have been really shiok if not for too much starch floating around, with a noticeable lump somewhere too.
Mango Pudding: They ran out of dry ice today so no impressive display of the mango pudding for my guest. I found it too soft to be called a pudding. Tasted more like mango mousse. |
