Great for people watching and chilling

With one-for-one deals on the set menus, thought it was a perfect opportunity to check out Il Lido.

Spent a leisurely afternoon overlooking the sea, and chilling out.

Located in the Sentosa Golf Club with a view of the sea, the atmosphere is simply lovely.

If the weather permits, you should really dine al fresco. Almost makes you believe you're not in Singapore.

But this is a food review, so on with the food.

The set menu, priced at $38, is incredibly easy to order from.

Appetizer of the day, meat/fish/pasta of the day, dessert of the day, coffee/tea.

Had chickpea soup, seafood squid ink pasta and chocolate panna cotta.

The chickpea soup is like a meal all by itself. Incredibly hearty, grainy and thick. I suggest you start off with an empty stomach if you want to make it through lunch.

Pasta was tasty, flecked with bits of salmon, cod, squid and prawn.

By the time the panna cotta rolled around, I was stuffed beyond words. But the chocolate panna cotta wobbled and shined and tempted me into making room for it.

Tasted like milo agar agar honestly. But yummy nonetheless.

Is this the best Italian food in Singapore? Probably not. But the view is hard to beat, and at $19/pax (till further notice), the inaccessibility is worth the trouble.

Wow, I see what you mean about tiny portions. I'm sure you must have found this disappointing
