| Just once perhaps.
I visited Melvados Cafe last friday with my girlfriend.
As it was rather late I thought that it would be crowded but to my surprise its rather empty.
The people there took my orders real quick and I got my brownies served within 5 minutes.
I found the brownie a tad too sweet and it's too chocolate-ty.
I requested to have two glasses of plain water but instead I got two glasses of tap water.
I strongly believe that a decent eating place should at least provide plain water and not tap water even if it's at cost.
Once and it should be enough. |

Kid22 on Melvados Café: Just once perhaps. I have my personal views about food and I'm just putting a review based on what I had and whatever happened on that day.
If they do serve tap water they should at least inform the customer.
So what if tap water is safe for drinking. You still boil your water before drinking right? Its based on individual I guess.
ice on Melvados Café: Just once perhaps. I agree with Petite Mummy. The texture and bite of a good brownie should be a cross between a chewy cookie and a cake, not soft but yet still cakey, in fact it should be crusty at the exterior and chewy to the bite.
I don't think even any high-end restaurants boil their "plain water", unless if you specifically ask for hot water. You could ask for still or sparkling water if you can't stomach "tap water". In any case, tap water in Singapore is safe for consumption.
cheers.
