Jian Bo Chwee Kueh : The one and only!

ditto on the low rents for re-located old hawkers..its really really low and thus allowing them to b able to afford off days and relatively lower prices

market rates from open tender bidding can be ridiculously high...thats also y not every new stall can sustain the high rent, exclusive of the other fixed costs.

For the hawkers who were re-located to a food centre from the streets back in the days before you were born, their rent is charged at low, low rates.

Those who bid for their stalls at open tenders, or rent their stalls from one of the old generation hawkers, pay market rates, but will compete in price with their neighbours in the same FC, some of whom will be paying much cheaper rents.
