I was slightly worried when we decided to have dinner here last weekend. It was Saturday & I was H-U-N-G-R-Y. Sher had a "small" incentive (Credit card promo voucher) & I decided to take the risk despite past experiences.

A* for improved effort & for living up to their name.

Of course, it was no fast-food-as-in-burgers-&-fries-kind-of-EXPRESS. But definitely good enough for "hungry" me.

Fusion Thai food:

*Olive Rice
~ Good staple, flavourful, fulfilling. Not too salty. Might be good to add "bigger" pieces of brown olives... I lurve those. The chilli that came with this dish was my favourite. Lots of chicken chunks & would've made a great meal on its own but like I said, I was hungry.

*Tom Yum Goong
~ Sour, sour, sour, slightly spicy, fresh succulent prawns. How do some restaurants season their prawns that they're so... smooth? Dunno, dun care, tasted good. Served in a bowl that looked like the kind u get with instant noodles. Haha. But I don't really care that they use plastic plates/bowls.

*Thai Fish Cake
~ Erm... NOT on the menu. Hmm... (hint)

*Stuffed Tau Pok
~ Stuffed with what? Waitress: "Fish paste & chicken". Not bad. Deep-fried. Tasted somewhat like fish cake. Served with sweet Thai Chilli.

*Vegetables/Kailan with mushrooms
~ Too much oyster sauce or sugar. My friend had to wash it in her leftover soup before finishing the last bit. I ate mine with my savoury rice. On its own, too unnaturally sweet.

*Fried Kway Teow
~ Not bad, I guess. Not sure, didn't try. Had enough on my plate.

*Thai Iced Tea
~ Improved. Fragrant, refreshing, not too sweet. I like.

*Sour Plum
~ Mixed reviews. 1 says it's nice & refreshing. Another had to add water. Me, dunno. I was happy with my Iced Tea.

*Red Rubies (dessert)
~ Would've so lurved to try this but *sigh*... limited tummy space. I like this dessert. Probably my fav Thai (fusion) dessert.

*Service
~ Attentive, efficient. Didn't have to wave fanatically. Even the cashier kept a lookout for patrons who needed attention. Waiter didn't seem to appreciate me asking for a soup spoon but remembered to bring it anyway. Thanks.

*Music
~ Made us slightly nervous/excited/eat faster. Can't remember what they were playing but it was something with a quick beat & the rate at which we finished our food was also express :)
