| Halal Dim Sum
A no frills place. Similar to the coffeeshops u see at neighbourhoods but this establishment thrives amongst other restaurants in the Simpang bedok area that serves us indian/malay cuisine.
With Dimsum, western and chinese food in thier extensive menu its not surprising that there is a steady stream of patrons.
I noticed most of them ordering their noodles which look appetising but I have yet to try.
To date, I have tried their western.Loving that some of the dishes give u the choice of choosing the sauce that you would like. From the normal mushroom to yummy garlic. There is about 8 different type of sauce. As for sides. Two choices of either Salad, coleslaw, onion rings, wedges, fries n asparagus. My favs are the asparaus and onion rings. Their salad choices are good too. Loved the waldorf salad coming with peaches, lettuce, green apples n celery.
Mum loved the lamb chops. Generous servings cooked perfectly with the sauce and with lotsa fats yummee...
I tried the chicken cutlet. Not a favourite though. Chicken was a bit dry. Maybe the chop would be a better choice.
But the one that i Love. The dimsum. The Harkow was super nice and the texture of the skin. So sinfully good. Not the kind that just falls apart. I may not be a dimsum xpert but this was good. Pan fried chicken dumpling was a bit oily though. Then again Pan Fried so what to expect. Think I shall try their famous steamed chix dumplings nxt time
Overall, a pretty decent place to dine at. Plenty of choices and reasonably priced. Plus its open till 4am and Dimsum is available till then. Ill definitely be back...
Still have yet to try the noodles and the baked rice. Even the desserts look appetising
Ps: although got a bit peeved with 1 of the staff when i came here half a year ago. The staff now are very good. Friendly and prompt. And even though their english is not perfect(most are prob from overseas) they do try their best and are helpful.
They even use a pda to take orders..How cool is that
