Pretty Good

My family regularly frequents a number of zi char places. Today we decided to return to Bao Gong XO for simple dishes. This place is apparently the favourite of NUS lecturers/admin management since it's both decent and cheap.

We got a simple combination of sliced beef, sweet and sour pork, oyster sauce kailan and some omelette.

The sweet and sour pork was crispy, though a couple of pieces seems slightly soggy. The meat itself was delightful so I'm not complaining! The chunks are reasonably large although the sides (pineapples, red/green pepper) filled most of the plate.

The beef was cooked with black pepper sauce so it couldn't have been bad. Perhaps a bit too tough, but the cooks definitely didn't mess it up. Yummy.

The oyster sauce kailan was alright. Nothing more, nothing less. Once you soak it in oyster sauce it's all good.

Fuyong Dan was very normal. Not impressive.

$37 for 3.5 people (0.5 kid).

I also recommend this place for
