Not too bad but probably not worth the queue

Remembering the good experience we had at the Yokohama outlet, I decided to give the Singapore branch a shot despite the long queue. Lady luck was smiling on us as we were just in time - the ramen was sold out and they had to turn away people who wanted to join the queue immediately after us.

After waiting for about half an hour (luckily I had Mr Porky to keep me entertained), we were finally shown to a table. We ordered the standard ramen each with char siu (just 1 slice really), seaweed and an added egg -Mr Porky had the standard chicken soup base while I had the chicken with green chilli soup base (it had a nice kick and I preferred it to the standard soup base though Mr Porky found it too spicy for his liking). We also couldn't resist ordering the grilled char siu.

Our verdict. The grilled char siu is really tasty but really really sinful as well! The ramen's not too bad but the black big ramen at Tempopo beats this hands down in terms of taste and texture. We probably wouldn't brave this queue again - unless, maybe, we were back in Yokohama....

Must Tries: Grilled char siu

I also recommend this place for
Type of meal:Lunch, Dinner

Reason is that the Chef is a moody man and cooks according to this mood. Watch out for his chopper!!
