Nasi Kuning

Went to Food Republic esp wanted to taste the food from Java Kitchen last Saturday - but then decided to tapao back as there's no seat available and we were bringing our 10mo old son.

We ordered Nasi Kuning and Nasi Rames. And waited very long for our food as the service was SUPER SLOW!!!! Maybe the server get confused over the long queue their stall had. I give 8.5 for the taste but 4 for the service. It could have been better & quicker!

They are using kampong chicken so I expect the chicken to be small - but what I didnt expect is to see how small the perkedel was, and I only get 1 small chicken drumlet to accompany the Nasi Kuning. The acar was nice tho.

If given a choice, I would prefer paying a bit more to get bigger portion of the chicken & perkedel as what's come in the take-away package is really quite a small portion (except for the rice).

Will I try other dishes they have? Yes of course - as the taste thus far is the most similar to the authentic Indonesian cuisine which my Indonesian tongue longs for =)

Must Tries: Nasi Kuning
