Thank you, Ms Grace Wong

We often express our unhappiness towards others but we rarely say our thanks. I must try and say my thanks often too. There can't be just all bad people in this world, right? Here, I would like to thank Ms Grace Wong from Thai Express, Iluma.

On 07022010, monster and I had our dinner at Thai Express, Iluma. Since young, monster avoid all things "Chinese Parsley" related. Even if it's just a garnish, he can still smell it in his food and of course, he will not even touch it. Some time back, while we were having Sakae Sushi at Tiong Bahru, I remember monster telling me that he misses Thai Express' softshell crab. So, of course, he ordered softshell crab this time round, without even having to look at the menu. Oh ya, extra onions please. Haha..

When his softshell crab with rice and some special sauce (with extra onions, of course) came, he immediately removed the "Chinese Parsley" on top. Upon digging in, to his surprise, there's "Chinese Parsley" all mixed in the sauce. He called the waiter to check with him and ask for a change. As the waiter was relunctant, he said, it's ok and he will just pay for a new plate instead.

Yes, he was pissed off. He did not remember "Chinese Parsley" in that dish when he had it before at their other branches. It took him a while, at least till his new plate came, without any "Chinese Parsley" insight before he "forget it".

Well, at least the goodness of the softshell crab made up for the wrongly cooked dish. Haha..

During payment, Ms Grace Wong (Iluma's Branch Manager, I believe) attended to us. She introduced their "Orange card" to us and since it's my birthday month, there were more privileges, so we got the card from her. As we had a pleasant chat with her, I decided to tell her about the softshell crab mistake. After clarifying with her staff, she strike the double entry off our bill and told us that we do not have to pay for the wrongly cooked softshell crab. I am a happy girl!

At least someone is listening to feedback for real and she is doing something about it. She makes me want to see her again real soon! I enjoy her good service and she was very professional in handling this. Thumbs up for her.

Thank you, Ms Grace Wong! =)
