Was at Plaza Singapura last night and ALL the places to eat had about 20 people in line.

Came across Lao Beijing with 3 people in line so I thought it was the place to go. Have not gone there for a couple of ice ages.

We ordered a few things:

- Scallop Broth
- Minced Pigeon Soup
- Garlic Fatty Pork
- Pig Ear and Tongue
- Stirfried Duck
- Braised Pork Roll (Beijing Yi-Dao Meat)

The soups were good. The fatty pork was excellent. The pig ear and tongue was eaten with relish. The duck is also very very nice as the capsicum and sprouts were a nice touch.

However, the Braised Pork Roll was... words fail me. The fat melts on your tongue with an explosion of tasty goodness.

The heck with the cholesterol count. This is good stuff.

Too bad there was only two of us else we'd have ordered Peking Duck.

I have to compliment the nice lady who was very patient advising us that we should come again if we liked the food as there was a cutout in the newspaper which gave us a discount. She also advised that if we had a big enough group, we could reserve one of their private dining rooms. Service excellence!
