Better than Fish & Co.

I have never tried Manhattan Fish Market in Singapore. Always wanted to try but did not have a chance.

I chance upon Manhattan Fish Market in KL before heading back to Singapore. Since was thinking where should we have lunch at. My KL friend used to work there and claims that the hygiene of the restaurant is rather poor but food is nice. Hack it, as look as it is nice and no body dies from eating it. I used to eat road side hawker stall in KL and bangkok, never did i have diahorrea.

We ordered 1 pacific Dory fish and chips, 1 Flame platter, 1 Green Mussels and Garlic bread with 2 soups of the day. Every thing was better than i have expected. The best of all it is in RM. Total bill came up to RM76.60 only.

Must Tries: Green Mussels, Flame platter

Disappointment buffet dinner

After reviewing forums of malaysia food and dinning, tried Gobo Chit Chat at Traders Hotel in Kuala Lumpur. Having travelled to Kuala Lumpur quite frequently, do not have the time to have a decent buffet dinner. Went with a KL friend to traders after doing some research.

The buffet dinner is priced at RM68++ per pax. More of a seafood and asian buffet. Sushimi was offered, salmon, tuna and octopus. Oysters and prawns were fresh. Salad are available. Cooked food station with roast beef and lamp, satays, pasta ect. The cooked food section nothing is nice in my point of view. Seriously, if not for the fresh seafood and sashimi, it would have been really awful.

Ordered 2 fruit juice to go along. The bill comes to RM193.20. Not worth the money. It is not expensive, but i would rather pay more and dine at green house in singapore.

Dim Sum and Chinese Cusine

Went to square 2 at novena for lunch with family. My dad was having dinning voucher from his company. Hence suggested this place.

Can't really recall what we have. We ordered quite a fair bit of dim sum and some dishes. The fried prawn ball with salted egg sauce was quite nice. The cod fish is very average. The total bill add up to around S$150 for 5 of us.

Overall, it is slightly above average. Will not have the craving to be back for anything.

Wagyu ribeye at KLCC

Met up with my KL friend and was shopping at Suria KLCC. Can't make up my mind to dine at which restaurant. Therefore, my KL friend recommand San Fransisco as they offer red meat and pasta.

After looking at the menu, saw that they offer Wagyu ribeye. I mean how can i resist the word WAGYU. Therefore without hestation, make up my mind on what to have.

Being Wagyu beef, it won't go too wrong. I would think that it probably won't be the higher grade marble wagyu. The taste is not really up to what i would have expected; having tried Wagyu beef at Hilton Singapore. Taste wise is nothing near. However being wagyu it is just different from the normal beef steak.

My friend had Carbonara. Tried some, found that it is actually quite nicely done.

Shared Almond Tiramisu which my friend strongly recommand. Overall not bad for a mid-range restaurant.

However, will try others if i am back in KL.

Japanese Food Court?

Went dinner with my niece for dinner at the new shopping mall located at tampines. Both of us are staying in tampines but have yet to try it out. Therefore, decide to give it a try after work.

They will issue cards for diners as it is use to foot the bill later on at the casher and it is free seating.

There are quite a number of different stalls offering ramen, udon, OmuRice, sushi to sashimi.

I tried the Sho-yu Ramen topped with char-siew and egg. Soup based is slightly salty for my liking.

My niece tried the Cream OmuRice, its like tomato fried rice wrap in omelette covered with cream base sause.

Wanted to try the tarts but left with limited choices. Decide to give it a miss as the 'left over' do not look appealing to me or rather not my preference.

I would not say that it is good. However with its price slightly more pricy than food court, probably a good place to come to when you wanna get away from food courts or hawker.

Breakfast at flavor

Complmentary breakfast at Flavors Restaurant @ Swiss-Garden Hotel KL.

American and Asian breakfast is servered. Although they do not serve a wide spread of variety for breakfast, they serve a decent breakfast from pastries, Nasi Lemak, fried bee-hoon, salads, omelettes, corn flakes, fruits and juicies to name a few.

They offer different theme buffet dinner almost everyday, like seafood, Korean BBQ and Thai.

Breakfast buffet from RM25++

Dinner buffet from RM58++

'Famous Porridge' in the east

Used to hear that this stall sells good porridge. It has quite a number of porridge like pork, cuttlefish, fish, chicken. You can request to add additional ingredients at additional cost.

Tried it on a number of occasions. Would say that it used to taste better. Has kind of drop its standard compared to previous tries.

Overall, if you had yet to try and happen to be at that place, do give it a try. It is good but nothing more.

Satay Bee hoon with super long queue!

Have tried at least twice at this stall for its satay been hoon. The queue always seems to be there be it lunch or dinner. Do not understand the hype and queue. Do not think its really that great to justify its food with the queue.

Personally, don't think its worth to queue for around half an hour to eat the satay bee hoon. It taste nicer as compared to the other satay been hoon i have tried else where.

To travel and spent time to queue for the satay bee hoon; definately not for me. Anyway, the last time i tried this stall was already 2-3 years back. Not taking any chances. Unless i happen to drop by and the queue is not that long.

Superb Breakfast

Having travelled to KL numerious time, didn't had a chance to pamper myself to a good decent buffet.

The variety of the buffet breakfast is large and has alot to offer. Asian and International breakfast, jucies and the service of the waitress and waiter is top notich. Clearing of plates and other request are done promptly.

Overall breakfast have plenty of variety one can choose from; it has been ages since i had such a satisfied and delightful breakfast. Really enjoy the breakfast very much.

Will definately return if time permits.

fresh fish & chip

Tried the fish & chip here for lunch. The fish is rather fresh. I would say that the crust is a little too thick. Taste wise quite reasonable depending on the fish you choose. They have quite a number of fish to choose from and price varies. They do not have alot of variety to choose from their menu. Overall if you are looking for a quick lunch and dinner that offers decent fish, this might be the place. But do not have high expectation.
