Was there over the weekend with a family of 10. Seated at a corner table. Service was a little slow, might be due to the restuarant running on a full house.

Mum's Order:
1. Hot Plate Tofu -Medium ($15) 8/10
-love the tofu which was deep fried on the exterior, but soft and fresh inside. Those who love chai poh, will love this dish, as it was added in, giving this dish an oomph!

2. Pork Belly w Lotus Bun -10 pcs ($22)
-as I do not fancy fatty meat, this dish I can't really comment. But looking at how my family were devouring this dish in minutes, I presume it is good.

3. Bitter Gourd w Pork Rib -Medium ($18) 6.5/10
-this dish is okay, but I think it was not up to my family's expectation. Common.

4. Venison w Ginger & small onions -Large ($28) 8.5/10
-family consensus, this dish is AWESOME...tender and it was really fragrant. Generous portion(you know how some places, even when you order LARGE, it somehow isn't sufficient to feed more than 8 ppl!)

5. Steam 'Song' Fish Head w Spicy Bean Sauce -1 Size ($16) 8.5/10
-steam to perfection. It was really fresh and you can hardly taste the stong "mud" smell, which is the chracteristic of this fish. Mum loved it!

6. Sambal KangKong -Medium ($12) 8/10
-it is good. Kangkong fresh, and the sambal delicious. Can't really find fault with this dish.

7. Lettuce in Soy Sauce -Medium ($12) 7.5/10
-tasty, crunchy, but a tad too oily.

8. Black Chix Soup w Ginse. -serve 6 small rice bowls ($15.80) 8.5/10
-Comes in nice mini polished clay pots, with a burner below to keep the soup warm. Soup has nice aroma, ginseng wasn't overwhelming. Ingredients are fresh too. Love it!

9. Water Goby Soup w Apple -serving as abv ($15.80)
-no comment as each of us can only choose either the ginseng black chix or this. But younger brother commented that soup was good...he even ate up the ingredients in the soup pot! :p

10. Dessert - 2 Stewed Egg Custard "Tan Tan" & 1 Black Sesame Paste @$2.80
-too full to eat dessert, but comment from mum is that Stewed Egg Custard is really GOOD! No No for Black Sesame Paste.

p.s. we actually ordered Braised Vermicelli with Pig Trotters..heard that this dish is really good. Saw most table ordered, but as family were too FULL, and the service staff actually missed out on our order, we were just glad that we gave it a missed this time round. But heard my mum say 'WE WILL BE BACK...SOON'! :p
