| Wholesome Beef Noodles!
I've been to this little Vietnamese restaurant many times and always wonder why it's not as crowded as it should be. It's clean, comfortable and serves reasonably priced vietnamese food.
My favourite dish here is the sliced beef pho ($6). It's topped with a sufficient amount of basil, mint and bean sprouts. The best part is the hearty and tasty beef broth! This is one gigantic bowl of beef kway teow that you MUST TRY! My dad loves it too and says it's much more value for money than another beef kway teow place nearby...
Another dish we like is the Authentic Grilled Pork with noodles. Nicely marinated with a slightly charred taste. Yummy!
We also love the sour plum (S'ng-buei) drink with soda because it is so refreshing.
You haven't tasted Vietnamese coffee until you've tasted Vietnamese coffee... of course, you'd say! Seriously, it's rather unique. The coffee filter fits nicely on top of a small glass and is supposed to slowly soak and steep the coffee powder while allowing just the right amount of black liquid to drip slowly into the awaiting glass below. The result is a strong and fragrant cuppa. You don't want to lose the heat, so try not to open the cover before it is done dripping! |
