I dont really fancy Indian food as I cant take spicy food that well.. cos I am brought up with teochew porridge :)

The first time I went to Samy's curry was about 3 years ago. I remembered that was my neighbour's father turned 50 birthday dinner (they are Indian family who are very nice and helpful to us) since I was a child about eight years old, I went to the same primary school with Jeya who is now a lawyer.

Anyways, Samy's curry has done up lots of changes now. I was there again with Jeya and his Chinese girl friend. We decided to meet up after a long time since they moved out.

It was like walking down the memory lane. It was crowded in Samy's. It is much cleaner than before and they must have done some renovation. The staffs were quick in taking orders.The waiter was trying his best to push us to get the fish but we were not sold by his words.We have to order at the counter.My eyes caught the big prawns but it looks so spicy.I decided to take the risk because the prawns really tempted me. Jeya's gf,ML, ordered the chicken which was really huge and Jeya the mutton curry.

We had free flow of bryani rice that was served on a banana leaf.It was really spicy especially the curry that the waiter poured, way too much on my rice. I was struggling to eat.In the end, I had half portion despite the spicyness.Jeya ordered some vegetables and butter chicken. I find that all taste the same.Probably because my tongue was burn by the spicyness that I could taste well.ML said that her chicken was too dry,she didnt finished hers too. Jeya ate all his mutton.

Jeya insisted to pay for the meal.I took a glance on the total bill..it was $70 +++ for 3 pax.Pretty expensive as it wasnt that great. I rememeberd that the briyani at Republic Food court is much better and so much cheaper.

I can only give a credit to the ambience because it has improved alot than before.
