| finally some decent dimsum!
oh, mighty long queue! we'd to queue for about 30-40mins when we went there on a sat afternoon. and mind you, that was at 2pm. so anyway, we had problems fitting 6 of us to a table due to the space constraints.
we ordered a truckload of dim sum, at one time, i think we'd 15 bamboo baskets piled on our table. anyway, the more memorable ones were the typical dimsum dishes. the prawn cheong fun's skin was smooth silky and thin and the prawns were huge and crunchy. makes you wanna slurp everything up with the dark sauce. so were the steamed carrot cakes. the dark sauce made a good accompaniment to it. and the HAR GAOS, oh man, drool inducing. the skin was just the right thickness. great texture when you throw the whole hargao into your mouth. siew mais were decent too. oh and we liked the stocking milk tea too because it had a rich flavour to it.
wasnt too much a fan of the porridge tho, because it turned watery after a while. much prefer the gooey sticky type of porridge.
but overall, great fast service and worth the wait!! |
