| Help! An Avalanche!
And so the very unindustrious few lazy bums moseyed into this icy café on a dopey Sunday afternoon. Only to be stimulated by the ravishing DESSERTS here.
Herein lies the beauty in this dessert: Alcoholics’ Anonymous Mudpie ($9.90). Why anonymous leh I seriously dunno man, but yes! alcoholic coz it’s made with real? yum rum and adorned with a sprinkling of raisins and almond flakes. And I swear I forgot to remind them to pass over the duds nuts here, coz it’s my customary ritual to steer clear of those eew! toppings. :p And don’t mess around with this ice mudpie here, coz this is one helluva brick of ice I tell ya. Almighty and unbending, this oreo-crusted article of beauty :) sits stunningly on a gorgeous pool of butterscotch bath. Mmm…simply astoundingly mind-blowing. As you spoon the silken ice ice cream into your mouth, you experience this stupefying pleasure only if you are imaginative enough hehe.
That was mine lol. Someone else had the Eyes Wide Open Mudpie ($9.90), a sturdy block of mocha ice cream completely drenched with chocolate fudge, and dusted plenteously with milo powder and chocolate chips. Seems kinda good actually…coz That Someone soon found his mudpie on someone else’s side of the table lol. There was quite a wee bit of chocolate overload…but who is complaining of too much aphrodisiac?...
The K. Buff had a warm apple crumble ($7.90) served ala mode with vanilla ice cream, drizzled with rich caramel syrup and garnished with an oreo biscuit. Hmmm…I thought I heard a complaint somewhere that it was not really his type of apple pie…Maybe he should have ordered the brownie instead. :p
Now for the bona fide Miss Alcoholic Anonymous! This girl has a mystifying obsession with alcohol and so wahaha couldn’t resist the wacky Magic Potion ($10.90). Her order came as a double scoop of Maple Walnut ice cream with a shot of Baileys in a test tube….so reminiscent of science laboratory experiments of yore. :)
A late party in our group sauntered into the café soon after. Hunger besieged her so she ordered a main course of Fish and Cheesy Chips ($12.90) (lol so cheesy!). Now don’t belittle her petite size wo! Coz though she doesn’t eat her vegetables she still managed to wolf down the very humdrum Fish & Cheesy Chips! And oh boy! Did she love her potatoes! But sadly, the poor carrots and broccoli were left so dolefully abandoned… :(
Strangely her order of an ice cream “6Cs” ($8.90) creation came before her main course. >.< Why was it called “6Cs”? There was absolutely no imagination here coz we kinda figured the sundae was basically Chocolate, Cookies & Cream ice cream, Chocolate coated marshmallows, Chopped nuts, whipped Cream and topped with a maraschino Cherry? O_O And so she had her desserts first! And last! (my tagline! >.<) LOL!
Ice3 is quite a nice, cool and relaxed place to snuggle in and chill out with friends over ice cream, coffee and booze. And hey hey! SYTs are purported to be spotted in this icy hideout though I didn’t see any lol. Anyhows, I am already ice iced, so ain’t got no spanking desire for any more elaborate blizzards desserts here…If there wasn’t superb company :) , I wouldn’t be running back to this place anytime soon...only if the need arises hehe. |
