| Sweet sweet tasty
I went to buy 2 cakes and 6 macarons for the 2nd anniversary of our marriage. Noisette and Chocolate Cheese Cake and macarons (vanilla/cassis/chocolate/mango/hazel nut/???).
Chocolate cheese cake was heavy and sweet. Taste was actually harmonized with chocolate and normal cheese cake.
But Chocolate taste was a bit stronger than cheese cake and it made it almost chocolate cake. Anyway it was cheese cake.
Noisette was better. This was also similar taste with Chocolate cake but 2 chestnuts were inside of sponge cake. Texture was slightly light buy chocolate was straight came to my tongue. It was sweet but adequately made.
Overall taste was so so but I don’t think it would be such sweet. This can be European taste. American must be much sweeter. As for size of the cake, it is a little bit small. However, taste is heavy and it makes us too much unless we are big eaters. This would be an adult piece of cake.
Macaron was colorful. There were various kind of macarons and I chose 6 pieces at random. I did not have any idea how taste it was. According to my wife, these macaron were quite authentic and quality was better than she ever had. Though macaron was also sweet to me, taste itself was nice. Price is not so bad while cake is a bit high for such small size. Satisfied totally. |
