| Just a "bad" day?
We were introduced to this place by friends who guaranteed that it would not disappoint. So, with half-filled stomachs from lunch, we ventured to taste a Makansutra Legend's ware.
At 2pm, there was no queue and most of the patrons seated around that section weren't here for it Char Kway Teow, which really surprised.
Good:
Generous serving of RAW cockles & crunchy beansprouts. Am not a fan of crispy pork lard but I am sure it will appeal to many.
Bad:
The noodles lack the oomph! (or wok hei) and taste was lacking.
Even our friend agreed that it wasn't so good. |

It wasn't that good when I ate it at Hill Street. The Newton fried kway teow shop was at the same place too, 2nd level, across from them. Try the Newton fried kway teow now at Serangoon Gardens, Zion rd fried kway teow (Zion Rd), Outram fried kway teow (at Hong Lim food center). All the best, enjoy. Have your Hep A jabs !! |

The best meal in my life was at
a quaint double-storey restaurant by the sea in Barcelona. It was recommended by a local and not a restaurant frequented by non-locals. We had to grapple with non-English speaking staff and menu! The best ambience and squid ink paella ever! |

I'm allergic to lousy food. |
| |
My last meal would be steamed traditional white bread & a cup of hot milo with an egg stirred in. |

When I'm not eating I'm
thinking about what to eat. |
