| Good ambience but the chief had some disgusting habit!!!
I met up with a old friend there today and the place looked really classy.
Nice chairs, nice waiters, nice decors etc.
The presentation was great etc.
Usually, I would share some pict of the food but this will be an exception. Coz... Everything was quite perfect that dinner till I went to the toilet and on my way there, I passed by the Kitchen. Then I saw the Chief (I shall not name him) took a lick off the syrup dispenser. It looked like he was either "cleaning" it, or "done" with it.
Either ways, I was felt quite sick after that.
But, to be fair, the Ambience was great and so was the service staff. |

Hi,
Thanx for the comment. I am not sure who is Phyllis is but I did speak to a lady behind the cash register about it. And it seems like the culprit was also the "head" chef.
Honestly, it kinda left my stomach churning wondering what else they could have done to my food.
Worst still, my pal who lives near there who told me how "nice" this place was ended up feeling quite embrassed. |

eew but J.L., you must understand that this "gross" behavior so happens in almost all kitchens, be it in hawker centres or restaurants. That's how the F&B industry is like. you just don't get to see it all the time.
cheers. |

Hi ICE,
I guess you are right.
Many would agree to this saying. What you pay is what you get.
But even after saying that, @ a Hawker Center still, even though I wouldn't expect too much of the standard of hygene there but still, I would not expect the cooks to lick the ladle after they have used it to "scoop" the soup for me. (If you know what I mean)
Even so, out of sight out of mind? Would you still eat there is you saw it? Worse still, after seeing all the +ve remarks of the place?
I do not claim to have paid alot but honestly... I did not expect to "see" this little incident @ a restaurant of such a standard. |

The best meal in my life was at
China |
| |
I'm allergic to 1. Seafood that is not fresh 2. Food that is overpriced that tastes like crap but uses the excuse.. "acquired taste"... 3. Queuing for food. 4. Getting ripped off @ restaurants. |
