Try the branch opposite Mustafa

Agree with the reviews below that the flagship branch of Race Course Rd can get overcrowded, with a corresponding dip in the quality of service.

We've eaten several times at the other branch on Syed Alwi Rd opposite Mustafa and, even on a weekend, it wasn't as busy and the service was much quicker and friendlier.

You can't fault the food either. I love Chettinad cuisine and this place does it the best of anywhere in Singapore. Favourites are the mutton uppu kari (dry and spicy, with the fennel, clove and cinnamon flavours perfectly balanced and not overwhelmed by chilli) and the chicken nattu koli masala, which leaves you bathed in chilli heaven; mouth on fire, head popping, endorphins surging...wonderful.

I also recommend this place for
