We Don’t Have Ramen Today

You know when you sit down at most restaurants or eateries, usually, and I say USUALLY if the servers/ management are nice, they would inform you of the items that are unavailable for the day. I thought so. Until today.

Out of the plethora of 30+ variations of ramen (that many…yes that many) in the menu, the manageress has got the audacity to tell me that only the basic XX and basic XX ramen ARE AVAILABLE available today. Hur. No yasai (vege). Ok. So I asked if I could have the Hiyashi Chuka (cold ramen) that I purposefully came here for actually.

“Nopes. They’ve ALL BEEN RESERVED by that table.” (points to an EMPTY TABLE) Such coveted cold ramen it sure is.

“Erm…can’t prepare any more?”

“Nopes. THEY’ve ALL BEEN RESERVED by that table. Only around 10 plates. No more.”

*WT@!#^?!? Then be prepared to get ready some more lah! For other customers who didn’t reserve! Duh!*

Then she tried to hard sell me the A-LOT-OF-VEGETABLES-SOUP-RAMEN-THAT-COST-TWENTY-SOMETHING-DOLLARS. She was absolutely testing my patience and intelligence coz I obviously know it’s Champon. Which I didn’t want. And I simply loathe it when people dictate my food or force food into me.

ermm…how come there is so much vege here (Champon happens to contain a lot of stir fried vege) then when the ramen I enquired above couldn’t be served with vege (miso butter yasai ramen – they only have miso butter ramen, no yasai). How strange.

I didn’t even want to ask if any of the cooked items were available.

So did I eat ramen here in the end? Go figure.

Must Tries: don't get me started on this
