Blown away~!

With so many excellent reviews, my lady and I arrived at the restaurant for a simple dinner.

To get there was quite an annoyance, especially when there were some road construction along Telok Ayer Road. The jam was ridiculous! It took us nearly an hour to clear that small street.

Fortunately, there wasn't much of a crowd though even without reservation.

Sweet Indulgence has managed to place a bar counter in their modest set-up and their cosy ambience was pleasant after a long day's work and with 3 wine chillers, wine savvy individuals may wish to pop by as well.

The service staff were great, we were given a warm welcome the moment we stepped in. It made me feel that we were expected.

This time, we did not over-order, restricting ourselves to only the following items:
- Seafood Platter
- Pizza Siciliana
- Beef Tenderloin Aglio Olio
- Tiramisu
- Heinekens

The Seafood Platter was just nice for two persons. Though it does not include calamari, it was the perfect way to begin a meal.

Pizza Siciliana came shortly after. The presentation was fine and the taste was great. Loved the cheeses included.

Beef Tenderloin Aglio Olio was was great, tender beef and the olive oil wasn't overwhelming.

During the dinner, I kept noticing a gentleman behind me (I was seated very close to the kitchen door) and he was watching our table. And as I was ordering the tiramisu for our desert, a dish of 3 small cakes appeared. Consisting of Raspberry Cheesecake, Tiramisu and Cheesecake.

Turns out, the kitchen actually burnt my pizza and they gave us the platter of cakes as an apology. I believe the gentleman who kept watching our table was the boss and he noticed the condition of the pizza. But frankly speaking, I loved the pizza! And if it was burnt, I couldn't tell. The cheese was perfect by my standards.

And just before we finished the cakes, voila~! The tiramisu appeared. My lady and I nearly fell over. There we were, after a satisfying meal, were 4 cakes in total (3 smaller ones and a full sized tiramisu). I protested in good nature that we couldn't possibly finish all the cakes and the boss simply said encouragingly, "don't worry, you guys will be able to finish it, the Tiramisu is very light"

And I agree, it is one of the better Tiramisus I've had so far.

And! When the bill was presented, they didn't even charge for me for the Tiramisu! Meaning, my deserts were complimentary.

Many would think, just because I received complimentary cakes, I would write sky-high reviews. Trust me, if Yong Chun Yuan gave me an APARTMENT after my horrific dining experience, they will still receive my most honest review. If you guys don't believe me, drop by Sweet Indulgence one day and try it for yourselves. You will not regret it!

P.S. Pictures aren't that good, only for you guys to see what you may expect. :)
