Thai food in a zhi zar place....

I went with Bro and sis-in-law for a dinner gathering on Thursday night. It was about 645pm when we arrived and the indoor air-con seating was full and on wait list. (approx 30 min waiting time). We choose to sit outdoors instead and its not that hot as alot of fans to cool the air.

We ordered the Tom Yum Soup (L size as we like to drink soup), Fried calamari (S), San1 Wei4 Yu1 Three Flavour Fish (S) and the Crab Meat Tofu (S).

The Tom Yum soup tasted mildly spicy and sour. Lots of sotong and a decent bit of prawns (with shell hor so fingers gotta the work) and fish slices. A bit heavy on the msg. 7/10

Fried Sotong is nicely battered and not overtly oily. Good taste. Can eat. 8/10

The 3-flavour fish is actually a deep fried garoupa served with the sweet, sour, spicy (3 flavours) sauce by the side. Good thing the sauce is separated so you can dip the preferred amount or it will become overwhelming! 8/10

The Crab meat Tofu is the most puzzling. It should be called Prawn Steam Tofu. The rounds of tofu came topped with a prawn each (6 pcs in total) and the only creabmeat i managed to discern came in the sauce mixed with egg white... ~dUh~ 6/10

Overall, good value for money and a filling meal indeed. Not really Thai food but more of Thai-inspired Zhi Zar IMHO.
