| Simple, heartwarming fare
Had been there twice already, the most recent being yesterday.
Their sandwiches are unpretentious and really yummy. I loved my foccacia with Mama's spicy pork - it was made of Sam Zam Bah which is fatty pork belly but oh so tasty!
Service was commendable because although the kitchen was closed (no more fresh salads and soups available) at our pathetic looks and pleading (we haven't had lunch yet and it's three!) the chef agreed to make us sandwiches if we were ok with not having veg on the side.
In the end, the food came with some sauteed cukes and brinjal (?) on the side to make up for the veg. We were grateful! Loved the sincere accommodating service.
Their cakes were great too - as i remembered from the last time I visited. It was a chocolate something that was so good we got seconds. |
