This is the only one EK outlet that also sells Nam Heong chicken rice. A nice combination what with you can try the best of both worlds; Shanghainese food and Hainanese chicken rice.
I found the food from Esquire the same as with any other of their outlet as the main dishes are prepared from a central kitchen. You could also order chicken rice and get it delivered into the restaurant as both the outlets shares the same owners. Whilst the chicken rice was given top marks, the beef brisket soup was a disaster. The whole bowl of soup comprised of 2 pieces of boiled 'lobak', 3 pieces of beef tripe and another 3 pieces of beef brisket. All that for RM10. The soup was tasteless as the meat flavours have not infused into the soup. Barring the soupy incident, it was a pleasant meal as the other dishes were all within expectations.
